It's just one week until Halloween! You know what that means...a chilly night outdoors, dressing up in crazy looking outfits, knocking on friends' and neighbors' doors, and dealing with children who have had waaaaaay too much candy.
We wanted to get the word out about a couple of events going on with New Life Lakeview & New Life Lincoln Park.
New Life Lakeview will NOT be having their Harvest Party indoors this year. Instead, they will be outside with hot chocolate, apple cider, cookies, candy, face painting, and some fun stuff for the kids.
New Life Lincoln Park is teaming up with Park Community Church for an outdoor block party celebration! The address is 1110 W Lill (near Sheffield & Fullerton). There will be games, candy, hot drinks, and much more. In the event the weather is bad, this will be held indoors at New Life Lincoln Park.
I'm sure there are several other events going on in the community, these are just 2 options for you to check out.
Be blessed and we'll see you in November at our next MOPS meeting!

DoxaSoma
I hope everyone is enjoying this crisp, fall season! I know I am.
We were blessed to have had Nadia come speak with us last week about nurturing our children's spirits. She gave us some wonderful examples, insights and ideas. If you'd like to learn more about Nadia and check out some of the tools she spoke of at the meeting, her website is in the previous post below.
This coming week, Oct 23, we will have Kim Sopata leading us in a beginners introduction to DoxaSoma. What is DoxaSoma? The word DoxaSoma is comprised of 2 Greek words: Doxa, meaning "praise or honor"Soma, meaning "body". DoxaSoma is the a physical practice which incorporates elements of stretching and strength building with prayer, worship, and reflection upon the Word of God. Want to learn more? www.doxasoma.com
Dress in comfortable clothing and if you have a yoga mat, please bring it. We will have some available, but we have a limited supply. Also, please arrive on time, or early even, so we can start promptly at 9:30am.
I look forward to seeing everyone again! Be blessed!
